Update: Notekeeper 2.1 (The last feature update)
There’s a new update to Notekeeper as version 2.1.0. The update is live on Nokia Store for Symbian
and is still under QA for the N9 .
Options on Notebooks and Tags
There’s now a new menu on a notebook / tag, that allows you to rename the notebook / tag, or create a new note under the notebook / tag, as you can see below (N9 on the left; Belle on the right):
When looking at the list of notes under a notebook / tag, you can slide your finger up and down at the right edge to quickly scroll to your desired point in time, like this (N9 on the left; Belle on the right):
This feature is not available in landscape orientation.
Searching now correctly supports advanced options like ‘tag:’ and ‘notebook:’. For example, to search for all notes in the notebook ‘Book’ and tagged ‘sff’ and containing the word ‘discworld’, you can use the search string: ‘notebook:book tag:sff discworld’ (without the quote characters).
Notekeeper also remembers the recent searches you’ve made to save you some typing.
- Cleaner flow for signing in to Evernote
- Handles Evernote rate limiting
- Better handling of rotated images
This is the last feature update for Notekeeper. There’s one more bug-fix update
coming soon that fixes loading of image attachments in notes. After that, there will be no further updates to the app in the Nokia Store, as Nokia will not allow submission of updates starting Jan 2014.
I’m thinking of open-sourcing Notekeeper (around Apr 2014) so that interested developers can adopt and maintain it. On the other hand, if there’s anyone who wants to take it over as a closed-source project instead, please write to me.
